How to unblock a sink

How to unblock a sinkYour sink is clogged! Again? For me and I believe it is true for most of the people, seeing a kitchen or a bathroom sink blocked is the most horrible thing, that can  totally ruin your perfect Sunday mood, for instance. The first thought that come to your mind when you see the dirty water and floating leftovers in your sink, is calling the plumber. But instead of wondering whose plumber’s services to choose among the variety and how this expensive service would influence your monthly budget, you can easily handle this unpleasant situation on your own.

It is not even necessary to buy one of the common strong chemical drain cleansers from the supermarket shelves; you can use simple homemade cleaning solutions that do not endanger your health in any way. Check them out:

  • Use baking soda and vinegar solution – pour some hot water down your drains, then dump in a certain amount of baking soda. Let it stay for a few minutes and after that pour a mixture of vinegar and boiled hot water down the sink. Flush again. You need to repeat this procedure several times to get the best result.
  • Try with a plunger – firstly, you have to be sure that the plunger cup covers the drain opening entirely. For unclogging kitchen or bathroom sink drains, use the classic cup time plunger. Remove the water from the sink and then start plunging with vertical up and down actions.
  • Hire a professional cleaning company – if you’re asking how this is connected with your “blocked sink” problem, this is the answer. Most of the cleaning companies offering regular home cleaning will help you solve the problem with the sink. Don’t worry and invite the expert team in your home! So you can have your entire home perfectly cleaned and sanitised and the bonus that you so desperately need – your sink unblocked.
  • The clogged sink may become a huge issue during the post tenancy cleaning procedure. Try to cope with the problem, because your landlord may want to keep your rental deposit in order to cover the plumber’s expenses.

One way or another, you have to solve the problem with this sink. Be creative and find someone to help you!
